Job summary

Amazon is hiring an Area Manager in Illinois to lead a warehouse team and drive safety, quality, and productivity on the floor. You will coach and develop a team across shifts in a fast-paced fulfillment network.

You will mentor 50-100 associates, ensure adherence to safety standards, and coordinate daily operations while supporting a strong, customer-focused culture. This on-site role offers growth across multiple facilities in the region.

Qualifications

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and holidays; most sites follow a 4-day work week.
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT equipment.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and climb stairs where applicable.
