Job summary

RM Landscape is seeking an Area Manager to oversee commercial landscape operations and snow & ice removal across Western NY. You will lead crews, manage client relationships, ensure safety, and deliver project results within budget and schedule.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of landscape and seasonal operations management, strong communication, and proven leadership. This role offers a company vehicle, PTO, NYS Sick Leave, and opportunity for growth in a growing regional team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Landscaping and Snow & Ice Removal management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build and manage client relationships and contracts.
• Leadership and initiative with operational knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Commercial Landscape Operations: lead crews and sites within contract and budget; develop routes and coach field staff.
• Reporting: provide production/route/crew efficiency forecasts to leadership.
• Administrative & Management: retention and coaching of field staff; time and ticket approvals; HR paperwork.
• Quality Control: ensure site evaluations are completed and issues addressed promptly; guide field teams.
• Relationship Building: nurture strong Rochester Branch relationships with managers, staff, subcontractors, clients.
• Procurement: maintain equipment inventory; coordinate with field operations for asset management.
• Client Portfolio: manage a large portfolio in Landscape and Snow & Ice Removal.
