Job summary

Ruppert Landscape is seeking an Area Manager to lead a segment of the branch’s landscape management work, drive renewal and enhancement sales, and ensure customer satisfaction. You will develop supervisors, collaborate with peers, and help meet branch goals across multiple states.

Strong leadership and client-facing skills are essential. The role requires directing field teams, managing budgets, and maintaining equipment and facilities to uphold Ruppert Landscape’s professional image and service

Qualifications

• Two years managing others in production plus recruiting, hiring, and coaching.
• Two+ years’ experience in sales and customer service.
• Ability to take site measurements and estimate maintenance jobs.
• Two+ years’ experience running multiple projects simultaneously.
• One+ year selling enhancement work and performing contract takeoffs.
• Ability to design small landscape projects.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate branch philosophies, policies, and procedures to field managers.
• Convey annual and long-term goals and monitor progress with reviews.
• Mentor field managers to support development and talent needs.
• Maintain ongoing recruitment for production personnel.
• Understand budgets and communicate costs to control hours and costs.
• Prepare seasonal job packages for assigned jobs.
• Review project details with field managers, including contracts and margins.
• Monitor service quality via site visits and monthly field reports.
• Manage sales activity related to contract renewals.
• Schedule weekly production for crews and monitor routines.
• Maintain branch facility and fleet to reflect company image.
• Generate leads and ensure inclusion in the branch prospecting system.
