Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is offering a ten-week Area Manager Intern position for summer 2027, located within one of Amazon’s fulfillment centers or operations buildings. The internship runs 40 hours per week with hands-on coaching, project work, and leadership development in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

Starting with learning to coach and mentor a team, you will gain exposure to safety, quality, and productivity while completing an intern project in collaboration with site leadership.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with anticipated completion between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Preferred strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Learn to coach, manage and develop a team of 50–100 Amazon Associates.
• Drive standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT equipment and support site leadership.
• Work in a noisy environment and lift up to 49 pounds as needed.
