Job summary

Amazon is offering a ten-week Area Manager Intern role in one of our Operations facilities in Massachusetts. You will learn to coach and mentor a team of hourly associates, lead shift activities, and drive improvements through a focused intern project.

This internship emphasizes hands-on leadership on the warehouse floor, with training provided by site leadership and opportunities to experience multiple operations roles during the program.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with anticipated completion between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or another related field.

Responsibilities

• Learn to coach, manage and develop a team of 50-100 Amazon Associates.
• Drive standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Shift patterns may include nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Oversee truck deliveries and operate pallet jacks and PIT equipment as applicable.
