Job summary

Amazon in Brookshire, TX is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates across the three-mile workflow (First mile, Middle mile, Last mile) and ensure safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You will engage your team during shifts to meet delivery promises and customer expectations.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, coordinating with Safety, Engineering, and HR, lifting up to 49 pounds, standing up to 12 hours, and working in variable environments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in an environment with variable temperatures and weather, including outside loading areas.
