Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Albuquerque is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly staff and ensure safety, quality, and operational performance. You will engage your team during shifts to meet delivery promises and customer expectations across three workflow stages.

The role involves mentoring, coordinating with safety and support teams, and handling physical tasks in diverse environments, including outdoor loading areas. Flexibility for weekends and nights is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
• Experience managing a team of 20+ employees.
• Experience with process improvements (Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma).

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and handle physical tasks.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in variable temperature environments and outdoor loading areas.
• Continuously climb and descend stairs where applicable.
