Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in the United States (New York, Rock Tavern area) is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly workers and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery. You will partner with Safety, Engineering, and HR to align plans with business objectives while supporting a dynamic fulfillment network and multiple workflow stages from First mile to Last mile.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in variable/noisy environments and under changing temperatures.
• Continuously climb and descend stairs where applicable.
