Job summary

Amazon in Pooler, GA is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. You will collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, and HR to execute plans that meet business objectives and improve performance across the three-mile workflow components (First/ Middle/ Last mile).

The role requires managing a 20+ member team, flexible scheduling, and a background in Lean/process improvement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• Flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
• Experience managing a team of 20+ employees.
• Experience with process improvements (Lean, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma).
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
