Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates at our Norwood, MA facility. You will drive safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery while mentoring staff and coordinating cross-functional partners.

You will manage shift staffing, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives, with a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays, ensuring customer orders reach customers on time.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to meet objectives
• Lift up to 49 pounds with occasional heavy lifting
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
• Work in variable noise and temperatures environments
• Climb and descend stairs as needed
