Job summary

Amazon is hiring an Area Manager, Early Career for PA/DE sites. You will lead 50–100 direct-report Amazon Associates, mentor the team, and ensure safety, quality and productivity on the warehouse floor.

This is a full-time, on-site role with shift patterns that may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Starting pay is 70,000 USD annually across PA and DE locations, with benefits including EAP, mental health support, medical benefits and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or another related field.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in progress or completed.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT equipment.
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.
• Climb and descend stairs (when applicable).
• Lead a team huddle to kick off the shift and align on goals, safety priorities, and focus areas.
• Walk the floor to stay connected with the team and drive results across safety, quality, and productivity.
• Adjust staffing and resources as volume shifts.
• Coach and develop team members and remove roadblocks.
• Keep leadership informed and flag risks.
