Job summary

CMC is hiring in Knoxville, TN to support safety leadership within our rolling mill and manufacturing operations. The role involves leading safety initiatives, audits, and corrective actions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain equipment reliability and process safety.

You will analyze recurring issues, inspect facilities, and contribute to improvements in safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project or similar; AutoCAD is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of Rolling Mill experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of rolling mill processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety leadership efforts, ensuring safety is a core value and integrated into daily operations and decision-making.
• Conduct regular safety audits, lead root cause investigations, and ensure corrective actions are executed effectively.
• Analyze recurring issues to identify trends and implement corrective actions with stakeholders.
• Identify and correct safety hazards, practices, and procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify issues and implement preventive maintenance.
• Define and measure KPIs for success.
• Perform inspections of work areas and equipment before, during, and after operations.
• Ensure coordinated internal support to reduce delays and rework.
• Contribute ideas to improve safety, quality, productivity, and equipment reliability.
• Other responsibilities assigned.
• Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy to established standards.

What You'll Do

What You'll Need
