Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager for one of its fulfillment centers or operations buildings in Windsor, CT. The role leads a team of hourly associates, mentors staff, and ensures safety, quality, and performance during 12-hour shifts.

This is a full-time, on-site position with relocation possible and comprehensive benefits. Qualifications include a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field, strong communication and leadership skills, and enrollment in a relevant program is acceptable.

Qualifications

• Must currently be pursuing or have completed a degree in a related field such as Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on coaching.
• Experience leading teams and driving safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Lead on-floor operations and ensure safety, quality and productivity goals are met.
• Walk the floor, diagnose issues, adjust staffing, and remove roadblocks as needed.
• Provide shift leadership, set tone, and coordinate handoffs between teams.
• Summarize shift performance and communicate priorities to the next shift.
