Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring an Area Manager to supervise janitorial staff across sites, ensuring quality service and customer satisfaction while operating within budget. The role focuses on directing tasks, evaluating performance, and maintaining safety standards in a dynamic service environment.

The ideal candidate will lead teams, communicate effectively, and foster strong client relationships, whilst coordinating with site managers to optimize workloads and service delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of management experience in a service-related industry, preferably janitorial.
• Business level oral and written communication in English.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent customer service and active listening skills.
• Ability to lead and encourage teamwork; resolve conflict.

Responsibilities

• Supervise janitorial staff at assigned sites and ensure quality service.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by timely delivery of services within budget.
• Review work, assign duties and inspect cleanliness and completion.
• Ensure schedules stay within labor budget and allocate resources accordingly.
• Conduct orientation and safety training for hourly employees.
• Prepare and review time sheets, reports, work orders and related paperwork.
• Build strong relationships with customers through regular site visits.
• Resolve issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Monitor accounts for opportunities to expand services and new work.
• Ensure all Quality Control site visits are completed and recorded.
