Job summary

Commercial Metals Company is seeking a results-driven leader to manage our continuous caster operations in West Virginia. You will optimize productivity, coordinate with melting and other departments, and drive cost reductions while upholding safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in a steel manufacturing leadership role, deep knowledge of continuous casting equipment, and strong communication skills to lead diverse teams in a challenging environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a steel manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of continuous casting processes and equipment.
  • Critical thinking, strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service and leadership skills with ability to interact with personnel at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across the organization.
  • Ability to work in environments with extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust and noise.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the continuous caster operations, optimizing productivity and ensuring seamless production processes.
  • Coordinate with melting area and other departments to minimize downtime and breakdowns to maximize production of quality products.
  • Identify opportunities, collaborate and implement changes to improve manufacturing processes and reduce cost.
  • Maintain CMC's quality standards, while utilizing all necessary safety measures, plant equipment, and other tools.
  • Develop and lead a Safety Culture that is consistent with CMC standards.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of casting equipment, minimizing downtime and disruptions.

What You'll Need

  • Ability to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces
Your Education
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred
