Job summary

Commercial Metals Company, a Fortune 500® leader in construction reinforcement and steel products, is seeking an experienced supervisor to oversee equipment, staff performance, and safety in our facilities. The role involves guiding operations from planning through execution to ensure quality and productivity.

You will lead a team, manage schedules and training, and ensure compliance with industry standards while supporting continuous improvement and on-time outputs.

Qualifications

  • Ability to inspect equipment, structures and/or materials to identify causes of errors or problems.
  • Ability to motivate, develop and direct people as they work.
  • Ability to use information and judgment to determine compliance with industry standards.
  • Excellent understanding of written and verbal instructions.
  • Knowledge of materials and processes for concrete products quality and production.

Responsibilities

  • Determine work sequence and equipment required to perform tasks.
  • Hire, train, evaluate and discharge staff as required.
  • Inspect equipment for wear and completed work for conformance to standards.
  • Monitor safety, quality, and housekeeping within the department.
  • Oversee productivity, maintenance, and inventory alignment with schedules.
  • Review production schedules and staffing to meet deadlines.
  • Manage workforce including discipline and training.

What You'll Do
  • Determine work sequence and equipment required to perform assigned tasks
  • Hire, train, evaluate and discharge staff as required.
  • Inspects equipment for wear and completed work for conformance to standards.
  • Observes work procedures to ensure safety, and quality
  • Responsible for safety, quality, productivity, maintenance, and general housekeeping for assigned department and proximal areas
  • Review production schedule and inventory to determine staffing, duty assignments and work schedules
  • Workforce management including discipline and training
What You'll Need
  • Ability to inspect equipment, structures and/or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems.
  • Ability to motivate, develop and direct people as they work.
  • Ability to use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with industry standards.
  • Excellent understanding of written and verbal instructions.
  • Knowledge of inputs, outputs, raw materials, waste, quality control, techniques for maximizing the manufacture of concrete products.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the supervision of others
Your Education
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
