Job summary

Hose Master, LLC, a family-owned manufacturer headquartered in Cleveland, OH, is seeking an Area Leader to drive production results and coach a team on the factory floor. This role emphasizes ownership, process discipline, and strong problem-solving across daily operations.

You will lead start-up meetings, ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery, and work with lean practices to remove roadblocks while supporting employee development and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
• Experience in Manufacturing and/or Fabrication is preferred.
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own work order progress by setting daily throughput expectations and ensuring requirements are met.
• Lead by example with ownership, clear communication, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain visible presence on the production floor to support operators and escalate issues affecting delivery, quality, and safety.
• Run shift start-up meetings to align priorities and communicate expectations with Lean Daily Management practices.
• Serve as a hands-on leader, stepping into any function to support flow with real-time reporting.
• Ensure employees are properly trained and equipped with tools, materials, and information to be successful and compliant.
• Support first piece inspection sign-offs, post-interruption validations, and quality checks throughout shift.
• Coordinate labor and machine assignments with Supervisor & Planning to hit daily production goals and address unstaffed equipment issues.
• Maintain Hose Master standard for housekeeping, 5S, preventive maintenance, and emergency response protocol.
