Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and graduate of an accredited Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist program.
• Certification as MT/MLS by AMT/ASCP or equivalent; state licensure as required by law.
• 2 years of related experience with 1 year supervisory.

Responsibilities

• Assists with developing departmental goals aligned to the organizational strategy.
• Manages staff relations, performance, scheduling, payroll, and student engagements.
• Monitors budgets, regulatory compliance, contracts and vendor relations; justifies needs for systems/equipment and stock.
• Assesses service quality and coordinates with staff, medical offices, and external labs; acts as Director in their absence.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and decisive judgement in a fast-paced environment.
