Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an Area Experience Leader to oversee 4-6 retail offices, ensuring a high-quality client experience and strong office readiness. You will lead and develop Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, coaching teams to anticipate client needs and deliver expert guidance.

You’ll balance strategic oversight with in-office leadership, aligning priorities, strengthening execution, and driving business performance across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in multi-unit settings with performance accountability.
• Strong client-centric mindset with consultative experience.
• Proven ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Demonstrated ability to drive business results while managing day-to-day ops across locations.
• Experience leading through change and adopting new processes.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the client experience across 4-6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact; act on insights.
• Lead adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors.
• Coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals toward consistent performance.
• Provide coaching based on observed behaviors, feedback, and outcomes.
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength and talent.
• Own revenue, growth, and business outcomes across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement actions to improve results.
• Ensure daily operations, staffing, scheduling, compliance, and SOPs are followed.
