Job summary

H&R Block seeks an Area Experience Leader to oversee 4–6 offices, ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience and strong operational execution. You will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on leadership to deliver results.

You will own office readiness, staffing, facilities, and day-to-day operations while traveling to maintain a visible presence across locations and develop high-potential talent for ongoing success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in a multi-unit retail, service, or operations environment.
• Strong client-centric mindset with experience delivering consultative client experience.
• Strong leadership capability with proven ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Demonstrated ability to drive business and financial results while managing day-to-day operations across multiple locations.
• Experience leading through change and adoption of new processes.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and prioritize competing demands across locations.
• Experience managing facilities, staffing, or compliance.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel frequently in day trips with minimal overnight travel.
• Ability to work schedules aligned with operating hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4–6 offices with disciplined standards.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations to reinforce strengths and improve experience.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors with visible leadership.
• Lead teams by setting clear expectations, reinforcing accountability, and coaching for consistent performance.
• Provide coaching informed by observed behaviors and performance outcomes to strengthen execution.
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength and high-potential talent.
• Own revenue, growth, operational performance, and business outcomes across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement actions to improve results, acquisition, and retention.
• Ensure daily operations across offices are staffed, scheduled, compliant, and well-run.
• Own office readiness including facilities, supplies, and onboarding for seasonal demand.
