Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Multi-Office Leader to oversee a portfolio of 4–6 retail offices. You will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, ensuring a consultative, high-quality client experience across all locations.

Expect hands-on leadership, staffing, facilities, and daily operations to meet client needs and business goals. You will balance strategic oversight with in-office presence, driving revenue, performance, and seamless operations while traveling between offices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years work experience leading teams in multi-unit environments.
• Strong client-centric mindset with consultative experience.
• Proven leadership to coach, develop and hold teams accountable.
• Ability to drive business and financial results while managing day-to-day ops across locations.
• Experience leading through change and adoption of new processes.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and prioritize competing demands.
• Experience in facilities, staffing, or compliance operations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; handles escalations effectively.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.
• Physical ability to climb ladders and lift up to 20 pounds; travel frequently.
• Schedule alignment with operational hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4–6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes and tools.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals; set clear expectations.
• Provide coaching based on observed behaviors and performance outcomes.
• Identify patterns, address gaps, and develop bench strength.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics, trends, and take actions to improve results.
• Ensure daily operations across offices, including staffing, compliance and SOPs.
• Own office readiness, facilities, recruiting, onboarding, and seasonal prep.
