Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Multi-Office Leader (Area Experience Leader) to oversee 4–6 offices, ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience. You will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, lead staffing and operations, and drive revenue and performance across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years' experience leading teams in a multi-unit retail/service/operations environment with accountability for performance outcomes.
• Strong client-centric mindset with consultative client experience.
• Proven leadership capability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Demonstrated ability to drive business and financial results while managing day-to-day ops across multiple locations.
• Experience leading through change and adoption of new processes.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and prioritize competing demands across multiple locations.
• Experience managing or partnering in facilities, staffing, or compliance.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, including handling client escalations.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.
• Physical ability to climb ladders and lift up to 20 pounds.
• Willingness to travel frequently in-day with minimal overnight travel.
• Schedule alignment with operating hours across sites, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4–6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations; reinforce strengths and address gaps.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals by setting clear expectations and coaching.
• Provide coaching informed by observed behaviors and performance outcomes.
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength and talent.
• Own revenue, growth, operational performance, and business outcomes across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics, trends, and actions to improve results.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Strong client-centric mindset

Proven leadership and coaching ability

Ability to drive business and financial results

Change management experience

Facilities, staffing, or compliance experience
