Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Multi-Office Leader (Area Experience Leader) to oversee 4–6 retail offices and deliver a consistently high‑quality client experience. You will lead and coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, balancing strategic oversight with hands‑on leadership across locations.

You’ll own office readiness, staffing, facilities, compliance, and day‑to‑day operations, driving performance and business results while fostering a high‑performing team across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in a multi‑unit retail/service/ops environment.
• Strong client‑centric mindset with consultative experience.
• Proven leadership with coaching and accountability across locations.
• Experience driving business and financial results with labor management.
• Experience leading through change and new processes.
• Independent judgment with prioritization across locations.
• Experience in facilities, staffing, or compliance operations.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving; handling escalations.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and travel frequently between offices.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the client experience across 4–6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and impact; reinforce strengths and address gaps.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors.
• Lead Tax Pros and Client Service Pros; set expectations and coach for performance.
• Provide coaching informed by observations and real‑time feedback.
• Identify patterns, address gaps, and develop bench strength.
• Own revenue, growth, and operations across offices.
• Monitor metrics and implement actions to improve results and retention.
• Ensure daily operations, staffing, scheduling, compliance, and SOPs.
