Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an Area Experience Leader to oversee 4–6 retail offices, ensuring consistent, high-quality client experiences. You will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, set expectations, and drive operational excellence across locations.

You will own office readiness, staffing, compliance, and day-to-day operations, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on leadership to deliver strong business results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in multi-unit environments with accountability for performance.
• Strong client-centric mindset with experience delivering consultative client experience.
• Strong leadership with coaching, development, and accountability.
• Experience driving business and financial results across multiple locations including labor management.
• Experience leading through change and adoption of new processes.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and prioritize across locations.
• Experience coordinating facilities, staffing, or compliance across locations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; handles client escalations.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4–6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes and tools.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals; coach for performance.
• Provide coaching based on observed behaviors and performance data.
• Identify patterns across offices and address performance gaps.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement actions to improve results.
• Ensure daily operations across offices, including staffing and compliance.
• Prepare offices for seasonal demand and readiness.
