Job summary

Mentor Community Services, part of the Sevita family, seeks an Operations Management Area Director to oversee program site operations, provide leadership to staff, and ensure the delivery of quality services to individuals served.

This role drives area financial performance, implements growth strategies, and fosters relationships with case managers, referral agents, and local officials while supporting mission-driven teamwork and career development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3–6 years of related management experience in human services.
• Experience working with the IDD population is required.
• Licensure as required by state.
• Strong leadership, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction, leadership, and supervision of staff at the program site to carry out operations and ensure quality services.
• Be responsible for the financial performance of the area, review financial statements, oversee purchasing, and ensure billing compliance.
• Implement area core growth strategy to increase census, maximize occupancy, and assist with new start development.
• Maintain relations with case managers, referral agents, and local legislators; lobby on behalf of individuals served.
• Implement area strategies to maintain relations with individuals served, mentors, families, and guardians.
