Job summary

Skanska USA Building seeks a Superintendent I (Area) to lead field operations, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and profitability per contract documents. The role emphasizes on-site leadership, QA/QC, and coordination with subcontractors and design teams.

Bachelor's in engineering or equivalent is required, with strong experience in fit-out or large building projects. Familiarity with Procore, Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, OPC, and JD Edwards is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ Years of proven construction experience.
• 2+ years of Safety and QAQC Cultural Champion experience.
• 2+ years' successful leadership of smaller fit-out projects or an area of a larger building project.
• 2+ years' experience with change order and ticket management.
• 2+ years' experience with subcontractor oversight.
• 2+ years' experience with schedule updates and look ahead schedules.
• 2+ years' experience with reading and delivering on plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations within assigned project areas, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and profitability.
• Supervise field labor and Assistant Superintendents with on-site leadership.
• Maintain coordination with design, budget, and schedule per contract documents.
• Coach teams, manage risk, and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Oversee technical aspects including cost management and subcontractor oversight.
• Support business development in the field.
