B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group is seeking an Area Director of Catering to oversee catering departments across multiple area hotels, driving revenue and guest satisfaction.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic sales, and the ability to manage client relationships and budgets across brands. You will lead sales initiatives, guide staff, and collaborate with hotel teams to maximize profitability while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree or equivalent experience desired.
• 3+ years catering sales experience; ability to manage direct reports and handle multiple priorities.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Sales/Revenue Maximization: achieve catering revenue goals through food, beverage, room rental and AV sales; maximize upsell opportunities.
• Cost Control: manage catering expenses, labor, procurement guidelines, and department budget.
• People Management: recruit, coach, discipline, and develop catering sales staff; provide feedback and recognition.
• Guest Service: ensure client satisfaction and timely response to needs; resolve complaints amicably.
• Technical Acumen: use Delphi and sales tools to report, forecast, and monitor sales data.
