The Area Business Manager (ABM) is responsible for engaging Pulmonologists and other key customers within an assigned geography, presenting clinically focused messages to grow revenue and meet product goals related to asthma. The ABM must demonstrate initiative, drive, independence, and ownership of business goals, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities
  • Engage pulmonary customers within the assigned territory to deliver clinical messages, introduce and grow the brand share, and achieve product goals for asthma.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as sales professionals, Medical Science Liaisons, Market Access teams, and thought leaders to address customer needs and develop strategies supporting brand and corporate objectives.
  • Develop strong relationships with pulmonary experts, office staff, and patient advocacy groups.
  • Identify opportunities and develop strategic plans to generate product utilization and expand territory business.
  • Organize and execute local promotional programs and activities.
  • Manage the territory budget to support strategies and business growth.
  • Participate in industry congresses, meetings, and medical conferences to support sales success.
  • Own business opportunities within the territory, including calling on large practices and key targets.
  • Establish relationships with thought leaders to enhance brand presence.
  • Drive industry-leading customer value as a primary objective.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales experience
  • Ability to learn and apply technical and scientific product information
  • Willingness to travel as needed within the territory
  • Proven sales success in complex markets with diverse customer segments
  • High integrity and adherence to compliance guidelines
  • Team player with collaborative skills
  • Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years selling biologics or in pulmonary/immunology fields
  • Experience calling on Pulmonologists
  • Co-promotion experience
  • Strong clinically-based selling skills
  • Successful product launch experience
  • Experience in training office staff and healthcare providers
  • Passion for science with proactive learning approach
  • Highly organized with strong account management skills
