Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking an Area Asset Protection Manager to lead asset protection teams across Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores in the assigned area. This field-based role develops and executes shrink-reduction strategies, oversees investigations, and supports employee and customer safety.

Travel is required. You will recruit, train, and supervise protection staff, analyze loss and safety metrics, manage investigations, and partner with store operations to prevent theft.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years in asset protection, loss prevention, inventory control, or security services.
• 5 years of people leadership experience.
• WZ certification required; CFI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop asset protection teams, including recruiting, training, performance, and budgeting.
• Develop and implement shrink reduction plans and analyze loss metrics.
• Direct investigations, manage cases, ensure documentation meets guidelines.
• Support emergency preparedness, incident response, safety training, and cross-functional partnerships.
