HDR is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead multi-office and group-level accounting activities, including project accounting and budget coordination. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years accounting experience; advanced degree may offset.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong prioritization and multitasking in fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting for multiple offices and business groups, including project accounting duties.
• Establish internal controls and perform specialized accounting per policy.
• Coordinate with area accounting and managers to manage budgeting and systems.
• Audit compliance and reporting formats, cost accounting, and quality control.
• Analyze financial performance, explain variances, KPIs and trends to leadership.
• Supervise and mentor project accountants and accounting leads.
• Participate in hiring/training and staffing recommendations.
• Join monthly business reviews, virtual or in-person.
• Support PMs with budgets, AP/AR, and project reporting; ensure contracts and budgets updated timely.
• Ensure timesheet compliance with policies and metrics.
• Prepare and coordinate audits.
• Review statements/forecasts and revenue recognition.
• Perform other duties as needed.
