Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking an experienced ARDMS-registered Ultrasound Technologist to join the Loyola Medicine imaging team. Under supervision, perform high-quality ultrasound images for General Ultrasound and Breast Imaging to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.

Areas include General Ultrasound, Breast Imaging (including breast ultrasound-guided biopsies) and Diagnostic mammography ultrasound. Requires ARDMS, RDMS certification, and completion of an accredited ultrasound program.

Qualifications

• ARDMS-registered Ultrasound required.
• Associate Degree or equivalent training in Ultrasound required.
• AMA approved Sonography program or equivalent training required.
• Graduate of a CAAHEP approved school of Ultrasound Technology.
• Less than one year of previous job-related experience.
• Rotation with a minimum of 1,680 total hours from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound imaging for General Ultrasound and Breast Imaging.
• Support early detection and life-changing care across General Ultrasound and Breast Imaging services.

Ultrasound Tech - Day Shift

Status: Part-Time (.5 FTE)

Shift: M-F

Rotation: Monday -Friday with rotational weekend and holiday coverage

Location: Loyola Medical Center, Maywood, IL and off sites (Burr Ridge, Tinley Park & Oakbrook)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ARDMS-registered Ultrasound Technologist to join our imaging team. Under the general supervision of an attending radiologist and in accordance with departmental protocols, the Ultrasound Technologist utilizes high-frequency sound waves and advanced diagnostic techniques to produce high-quality ultrasound images. These images support accurate diagnosis and exceptional patient care across General Ultrasound and Breast Imaging services.

Here is what you'll need

Required:

• ARDMS-registered Ultrasound


• Associate Degree; graduate from an accredited two-year Ultrasound Program, required; OR equivalent training acquired via work experience


• Specific Degree(s): AMA approved Sonography program;


• Graduate of a CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) approved school of Ultrasound Technology


• Less than one year of previous job-related experience


• rotation with a minimum of 1,680 total hours from an accredited program

Licensure/Certifications

• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) from American Heart Association ONLY


• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)-Specialization in Abdomen, Ob/Gyn or PS

Other:

• Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization


• Proficiency in ultrasound principles, practices, and techniques


• Experience in General Ultrasound and Breast Imaging strongly preferred


• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and patient-centered care


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay Range

$39.00 - $59.00 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
