Job summary

Krum ISD is seeking an ARD Facilitator to lead Annual, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, ensure completion of ARD paperwork, and monitor IEP implementation. You will communicate with parents and staff to align understanding and document decisions.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree, knowledge of state and federal laws governing special education, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate with teachers to support student success.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state and federal laws for educating students with disabilities.
• Understanding of the individual needs of students with disabilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents and staff.
• Ability to implement policies and procedures.

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule or assist in scheduling ARD meetings and establish meeting guidelines.
• Facilitate ARD committee discussions to ensure participation and on-task progress.
• Ensure timelines are met for ARD activities and decisions.
• Coordinate communication between special and general education personnel regarding ARD/IEPs.
• Support delivery of special education curriculum according to each student’s IEP.
• Monitor progress and use findings to improve program effectiveness for student needs.
• Collaborate with teachers to address student achievement deficiencies and promote innovative instruction.
• Assist in monitoring the instructional process to align activities with IEP outcomes.
