Job summary

South Texas College is seeking a Library Archives Manager to arrange, describe, preserve, and manage the STC Historical Legacy Archives, while developing district-wide exhibits for students, faculty, staff, and the community. This role oversees workflows for processing physical and digital materials and supervises assigned staff.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library and Information Studies (ALA-accredited).
• At least four (4) years of library or archives experience.
• At least two (2) years of supervisory experience.
• Experience in archives and/or special collections in an academic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages the STC Historical Legacy Archives collections, including accessioning, arranging, describing, and preserving archival materials.
• Develops and maintains archival workflows, procedures, and documentation, including those for born-digital materials.
• Oversees digitization processes and maintains accurate metadata and file organization.
• Plans district-wide exhibits and presentations showcasing materials from the archival collections.
• Trains, supervises, and evaluates assigned staff; coordinates with other departments.
