Job summary

HOK in San Francisco seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead complex architectural projects from inception to post-occupancy. You will guide project teams, maintain client relationships, and ensure alignment with design intent, budgets, and schedules.

The role emphasizes collaboration with leadership, development of scope and fees, and active participation in marketing and presentations, with a focus on Integrated Sustainable Design and green practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or equivalent in education or experience required.
• 10 years’ experience in architectural practice with management experience in all phases of projects through post-occupancy.
• Licensed Architect with current registration preferred, if licensure is offered in your region.
• NCARB registration preferred.
• LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads project teams and manages multiple projects through all design phases to completion.
• Maintains collaboration with Project Leadership Team and stakeholders.
• Assists in developing project scope, fee, budget, and services during marketing and contracts.
• Prepares presentations and participates in client meetings when needed.
• Manages project communications via Deltek and other tools; tracks budgets, schedules and changes.
• Supports consultant contracts, fee negotiations and contract execution.
• Ensures budgets support Quality Management and sustainable design principles.
• Encourages Integrated Sustainable Design and green practices throughout projects.
• Drives client relationship management and cross-functional coordination.
