Job summary

Burke Special Projects seeks an Architectural Project Manager to join our in-house design team, guiding tenant improvement projects from initial design through construction administration. You will own drawings, permitting, and code compliance while staying closely engaged with our field team.

Requirements include a 6+ year track record in architectural project management (design-build), strong communication, TI experience, and licensure progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• 6+ years of architectural project management experience including design-build delivery
• Working knowledge of building codes, zoning, and permitting processes
• Experience reviewing shop drawings/submittals and managing construction documents
• Strong communication bridging design, field teams, clients, and inspectors
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across different sectors and scales
• TI experience with existing building conditions and shell buildings
• Licensed Architect (RA) or actively pursuing licensure
• Experience across office, retail, food & beverage, light industrial types
• Familiarity with local AHJ processes and plan reviewers
• Experience with BIM coordination

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural scope from schematic design through construction documents and construction administration
• Coordinate with clients, internal design team, field/construction staff, subcontractors, and consultants
• Manage entitlements, permitting, and code compliance across a variety of project types
• Conduct site visits and construction observation
• Serve as a responsive point of contact for the field team's design and drawing questions during construction
• Track project scope, schedule, and any design-related change orders
• Client-facing communication and progress reporting as needed
