Overview

Growing mid-size architecture studio located in Long Beach, California is seeking highly motivated Project Managers of all levels to work on healthcare and institutional projects. The candidates will work directly with the Design Team and company leaders. This firm is recognized for its healthcare design excellence and has experienced significant growth over the past 5 years.

This 50+ person firm has received acclaim for its award-winning healthcare designs for clients including Kaiser Permanente, UCLA, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. It has been voted as one of the “Best Places to Work” for healthcare, and staff retention is high. (Note: Fully remote work option available with occasional travel to sites & meetings.)

Overall Responsibilities

  • Support management and lead project administration from client proposal through project closeout.
  • Act as an independent project manager with the necessary skills, motivation, and initiative.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in business development efforts to secure new projects.
  • Provide exceptional client service, building trust and long-term relationships.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and potential clients.
  • Lead and manage all aspects of assigned projects to meet goals.
  • Coordinate communication between clients, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Manage professional service agreements and amendments.
  • Ensure adherence to project budgets and contracted fees.
  • Oversee project schedules to meet milestones and contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with the Design Team to realize project visions and ensure constructability.
  • Manage project manuals related to contractual obligations.
  • Review pay applications and manage billing processes.
  • Oversee collections for projects.
  • Ensure quality assurance standards are maintained.
  • Mentor junior staff and promote professional development.
  • Innovate and improve project processes for efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Ability to manage own work practices effectively.
  • Strong leadership, communication, relationship management, and organizational skills.
  • Experience leading project teams.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • OSHPD/HCAI experience preferred but not required.
  • Healthcare management experience is required.
