Job summary

TESSERE seeks a licensed project architect to lead construction drawing production and specifications, while mentoring junior staff and managing time and resources to meet budgets. You will interact daily with clients, code officials, and partners, traveling for site assessments as needed.

Responsibilities include design development, construction documents, QAQC, and coordinating with engineers. Travel and site work are required; reports to a division level senior project manager.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in architecture.
• Licensed NCARB certified architect.
• Client management experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Project).
• Experienced Revit user.
• Multi-state project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet directly with clients, analyze goals and develop solutions within regulatory parameters.
• Plan the project budget, milestones, and schedule and track performance.
• Initiate and create schematic designs and plans with responsibility for drawings.
• Coordinate workload through design development and construction document phases.
• Direct and coordinate with engineering disciplines and vendors; review documents for conflicts.
• Write/edit owner provided architectural specifications.
• Plan, initiate, and run project meetings; issues minutes.
• Ensure code and accessibility compliance across codes.
• Execute construction administration and manage changes to documents.
• Analyze and negotiate pay applications and change orders.
