Job summary

Thornton Tomasetti, a leader in structural engineering and forensic science, is seeking a Project Director for its Forensics Practice in the Orlando area. You will independently evaluate and apply advanced architectural concepts to complex forensic problems, shaping technical direction and proposals.

You will collaborate with engineers, contractors, and legal teams, travel to project sites, and mentor teams toward technical leadership while pursuing licensure and expanding your expertise in

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture; Master’s or PhD preferred.
  • 4+ years of architectural experience with construction administration and field work.
  • Must be working toward licensure.
  • Ability to independently develop engineering approaches and troubleshoot challenges.
  • Curiosity, initiative and desire to grow into a technical leader.

Responsibilities

  • Handle complex forensic investigations and develop innovative solutions.
  • Prepare deliverables clearly communicating with clients and legal teams.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, consultants and internal experts.
  • Contribute to proposals and represent TT’s technical excellence with clients.
  • Travel to project sites to conduct forensic investigations.

We assist attorneys, property managers, building owners, contractors, manufacturers, and design professionals with a wide range of engineering and architectural issues.

Your Role

If you’re an architect who wants bigger challenges, more technical depth, and a clear runway toward becoming a recognized expert, Thornton Tomasetti is the place where that trajectory happens. As a Project Director in our Forensics Practice, you’ll independently evaluate, adapt, and apply advanced architectural concepts to challenging forensic problems. You’ll help influence technical direction, contribute to proposals and thought leadership, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

  • Handle complex forensic investigations and develop innovative solutions for repair and remediation.
  • Prepare deliverables that communicate clearly with clients and legal teams.
  • Proactively coordinate with engineers, contractors, consultants, and internal experts.
  • Contribute to proposals and represent TT’s technical excellence with clients.
  • Travel to project sites to conduct forensic investigations.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture; Master’s or PhD preferred.
