Job summary

SSOE is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our Architecture team in Birmingham, AL. This role supports project managers in multi-discipline design and architectural teams from scope development through complete design packages and execution.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree in architecture, CAPM is encouraged, and at least 1 year as an Architect I or 3 years related experience. Travel is required; salary ranges from $70k to $80k with benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Architecture or equivalent licensure pathway.
CAPM certification is encouraged.
Minimum 1 year experience as an Architect I or 3 years related experience.
Travel required.

Responsibilities

Assist Sr. Project Managers with day-to-day project tasks, staffing to fee, work plans, schedules, budgets, etc.
Assist in preparing project plans, budgets, control procedures, etc.
Manage one to two small disciplines' projects under supervision.
Audit client billings for Project Manager approval.
May be the primary communication link between project teams, consultants and outsourcing partners.
Follow established procedures to administer project activities (cost estimating, correspondence, document controls).
Coordinate meetings and distribute minutes; support client meetings and proposals.
