Job summary

SSOE is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our Architecture team in Birmingham, AL. This role supports project managers in multi-discipline design and architectural teams from scope development through complete design packages and execution.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree in architecture, CAPM is encouraged, and at least 1 year as an Architect I or 3 years related experience. Travel is required; salary ranges from $70k to $80k with benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Architecture or equivalent licensure pathway.
• CAPM certification is encouraged.
• Minimum 1 year experience as an Architect I or 3 years related experience.
• Travel required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sr. Project Managers with day-to-day project tasks, staffing to fee, work plans, schedules, budgets, etc.
• Assist in preparing project plans, budgets, control procedures, etc.
• Manage one to two small disciplines' projects under supervision.
• Audit client billings for Project Manager approval.
• May be the primary communication link between project teams, consultants and outsourcing partners.
• Follow established procedures to administer project activities (cost estimating, correspondence, document controls).
• Coordinate meetings and distribute minutes; support client meetings and proposals.
