Job summary

Studio One Eleven is seeking a Job Captain to handle the technical implementation of architectural projects, coordinating and producing contract documents under supervision from the Project Manager and senior staff.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in architecture and 3+ years’ experience focusing on construction documentation, with strong knowledge of codes, detailing, and software tools (CAD/REVIT).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited program.
• 3+ years of experience focused on construction documentation.
• Knowledge of architectural detailing and current construction standards.
• Proficiency in CAD/REVIT and other business software and their application to Contract Documents.
• Knowledge of codes and permitting processes with minimal supervision.
• Basic knowledge of construction contract administration processes.
• Effective English communication skills, conversational and written, for collaboration and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in completing Project Manager Checklist and using Project Management Road Map Tools.
• Review workload to determine staff assignments.
• Research and adhere to authorities having jurisdiction requirements.
• Maintain continuous flow of critical information.
• Monitor staff performance and provide assessment to Project Manager.
• Support staff development of architectural skills and knowledge of new codes, technologies, and materials.
• Attend kick-off meetings and verify site-specific requirements.
• Review development of Contract Documents with Project Architect and Project Manager.
• Coordinate project detailing to convey design intent.
• Monitor progress, coordination, and quality of documents; ensure compliance with office standards.
• Coordinate consultant documents as directed by the Project Manager.
• Prepare and submit documents for agency review and coordinate comments.
