Responsibilities

  • Unload inbound deliveries and verify materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and receiving documentation.
  • Inspect sheet goods, lumber, laminates, solid-surface materials, hardware, and other supplies for correct quantity, specification, visible damage, and shipping discrepancies.
  • Document shortages, overages, substitutions, or damaged material and promptly communicate exceptions to Purchasing and the Production Supervisor.

  • Review work orders, bills of material, cut lists, and production priorities to determine material and component requirements.
  • Pick, count, and stage materials by job and production sequence; verify item, quantity, size, color, and revision before release to the work center.
  • Replenish production areas and move work-in-process between machining, assembly, finishing, quality, and shipping without damaging parts or disrupting identification.
  • Return unused materials to the correct inventory location and segregate nonconforming, damaged, or unidentified material for review.
  • Support inventory counts and investigate location or quantity discrepancies with Purchasing and Production.
  • Verify finished products and loose materials against the shipping list before packaging, staging, or loading.
  • Package, pad, wrap, label, crate, and secure products to prevent movement or damage during handling and transportation.
  • Stage shipments in the planned loading and delivery sequence and clearly identify each job, area, room, or installation phase.
  • Safely load and unload trucks while protecting finished architectural millwork and maintaining clear documentation of transferred items.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, hoists, and other material-handling equipment only after completing required training and receiving company authorization.
  • Perform required pre-use equipment inspections and report defects; remove unsafe equipment from service in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain clear aisles, racks, docks, exits, and work areas and follow load-capacity, stacking, lifting, and material-securing requirements.
  • Use required personal protective equipment, follow CAM safety procedures, and immediately report hazards, incidents, near misses, or damaged materials.
  • Participate in daily coordination, continuous-improvement, and housekeeping activities that support a safe and efficient manufacturing operation.
