Job summary

Carter Architectural Millwork, a division of Carter Lumber, seeks proactive, dependable Manufacturing Support team members to operate machinery and assist with cabinet and casework assembly within a growing millwork facility.

You will contribute to producing high-quality architectural millwork, cabinetry, countertops, and custom commercial products, while upholding safety, quality, and efficiency standards as part of a hands-on team.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, woodworking, cabinetry or millwork preferred.
• Experience with cabinet assembly, machine operation, or general production work is a strong plus.
• Ability to read basic work instructions, measurements, shop drawings, labels or production paperwork.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move materials for extended periods; dependability and safety-conscious attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery, forklifts, power tools, and hand tools safely to support production and material movement.
• Assist with machine operation, cabinet assembly, casework assembly, custom millwork fabrication, and general shop production tasks.
• Prepare, stage, and organize materials, parts, tools, and supplies for daily operations.
• Assemble cabinetry, casework, countertops, and architectural millwork to meet project specs and quality standards.
• Read and follow shop instructions, drawings, labels, and work orders from production leadership.
• Conduct routine visual inspections of materials, equipment, and finished products to identify quality or safety issues.
• Collaborate with team members across production, assembly, finishing, shipping, and warehouse areas to meet schedules.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safe working conditions in manufacturing facility and warehouse.
• Follow safety protocols and report incidents or safety hazards immediately.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying ways to improve safety, quality, workflow, and efficiency.
