Job summary
Carter Architectural Millwork, a division of Carter Lumber, is seeking proactive Manufacturing Support team members for our Millersburg, OH facility. Roles include machine operation, cabinet and casework assembly, and general shop support to produce high-quality architectural millwork, cabinetry, countertops, and custom products.
You will work hands-on with mechanical systems, read work orders and drawings, and collaborate with colleagues to maintain safety, quality, and efficiency in the shop
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery, forklifts, power tools and hand tools to support production.
- Assist with cabinet and casework assembly and general shop tasks.
- Prepare, stage, and organize materials, parts, tools, and supplies for production.
- Read and follow shop instructions, drawings, and work orders.
- Conduct routine visual inspections for quality, safety, and maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with teams across production, finishing, shipping and warehouse.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Follow safety protocols and report incidents or hazards promptly.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to improve safety, quality and efficiency.
