Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of AutoCAD experience with associated tools.
• Experience reading and interpreting architectural plans to produce shop drawings.
• Commercial millwork experience and strong woodworking technology knowledge.
• Familiarity with CNC, edge banding, doweling, and clamps is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create shop drawings using AutoCAD for detailed project documentation.
• Interpret architectural drawings and bid documents accurately.
• Develop design documentation and specifications for production.
• Research materials and assist in selecting suitable options.
• Maintain clear communication with clients to meet expectations.
• Recommend work sequencing with the Production Manager.
• Revise and update drawings ensuring consistent documentation.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Provide technical support to the project team.
• Maintain notes and calculations in electronic files.
• Propose cost-effective design alternatives when possible.
• Participate in hand-off meetings to ensure project understanding.
