Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking an Architectural Job Captain for our Phoenix studio to lead technical design from existing conditions through construction documents. You will coordinate with consultants, manage document sets, and ensure quality across multi-phase projects in retail, restaurant, and workplace environments.

You’ll work with project managers and architects to advance design, verify codes, and guide team deliverables.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in architecture or equivalent (required).
• 5+ years coordinating technical projects, resources, and consultants.
• Experience preparing drawings and documents across varied project types.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation quality.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments in a collaborative studio setting.
• Preferred licensure or additional credentials.
• Proficiency in SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Advance design concepts into technical documents with the project team.
• Coordinate program, budget, and schedule with Project Managers and Architects.
• Prepare and strategize the framework drawing set across all project phases.
• Research and implement applicable building codes and requirements.
• Provide initial quality-control review of team deliverables.
• Validate materials, finishes, and systems against project and sustainability goals.
• Coordinate consultants through design, documentation, and construction administration.
• Support construction administration via site observations, RFIs, and submittals.
