Job summary

REES Associates, Inc. is seeking an Architectural Intern or Interior Design Intern to gain hands-on experience in design concepts, technical drawings, and construction documentation. You will assist senior staff, develop 2D/3D deliverables, and participate in site visits to ensure accuracy and quality.

The role supports collaboration across the design team, offering exposure to sustainability practices, codes, and real-world project development within a creative studio environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of an architecture or related design program
• Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design software
• Strong visual, technical, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, and sustainable design principles is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist senior architects and designers in developing design concepts and preparing presentation materials
• Support the creation of detailed drawings, plans, and 3D models using industry-standard software
• Conduct research on materials, building codes, and sustainability practices relevant to project development
• Participate in site visits and assist with on-site inspections to ensure design accuracy and quality
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate project deliverables and meet deadlines
• Contribute to the preparation of construction documents and specifications
