Chronicle Heritage in Wisconsin is seeking a professionally qualified architectural historian to guide projects through environmental and historic preservation compliance processes for private and public sector clients. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in historic preservation or related field.
  • Meet or exceed SOI Standards for Architectural History (36 CFR Part 61).
  • 2+ years researching historical resources and NRHP evaluations.
  • Familiar with NHPA, NEPA and 4(f) provisions for historic preservation.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Midwest.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage historic resource surveys and investigations.
  • Prepare technical reports and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with proposals and cost estimates.
  • Regularly communicate with clients to track progress and schedule.
  • Coordinate project review with SHPOs and other agencies.
