Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Portland, ME, is seeking an experienced Estimator to deliver take-offs and BOMs for curtainwalls, storefronts, and skylights. You will analyze architectural specs to ensure thermal, structural, and aesthetic requirements are met while crafting competitive bids.

Use Bluebeam Revu for digital take-offs and Excel for cost analysis, collaborate with engineering and sales, and provide VE options to win projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in commercial glazing estimating.
• Proficient reading architectural blueprints and shop drawings.
• Knowledge of Bluebeam Revu for take-offs; strong Excel skills.
• Understanding of glazing systems (curtainwalls, storefronts, skylights).
• Able to clearly communicate technical details.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs for aluminum and related hardware.
• Develop BOMs for curtainwalls, storefronts, and entrance systems.
• Review Division 08 specs for thermo/structure/ aesthetics.
• Calculate total project costs including materials and labor.
• Prepare and submit bid packages and quotations.
• Collaborate with engineering and sales for VE options.
