Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Fremont, CA is seeking a skilled Estimator to provide detailed, timely estimates for architectural aluminum systems including curtainwalls, storefronts, and skylights. You will analyze architectural plans and align specifications to meet project requirements.

Use Bluebeam Revu and Excel for cost analysis, perform BOMs, and prepare bid packages to secure project wins. Collaboration with engineering and sales teams is essential to deliver value engineering options and

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of estimating experience within commercial glazing or architectural metal.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural blueprints and technical shop drawings.
Knowledge of Bluebeam Revu for digital take-offs and strong in Microsoft Excel for cost analysis.
Understanding of glazing systems including curtainwalls and storefronts.

Responsibilities

Perform quantity take-offs for aluminum and related hardware using Bluebeam Revu or similar tools.
Develop comprehensive bills of materials for complex projects such as curtainwalls and storefronts.
Review architectural specifications to ensure compliance with thermal, structural and aesthetic requirements.
Calculate total project costs including raw materials and manufacturing labor.
Prepare and submit bid packages and formal quotations to glazing and general contractors.
Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to provide value engineering options.
