Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking an Estimator to provide detailed, timely estimates for architectural aluminum systems including curtainwalls, storefronts and skylights. You will analyze architectural plans, perform quantity take-offs, and develop BOMs to support project bids.

In this role, you will collaborate with engineering and sales to offer value engineering options and support bid submissions to glazing and general contractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of estimating experience in commercial glazing or architectural metal.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints and shop drawings.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills for cost analysis and data organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed, timely estimates for architectural aluminum systems.
• Perform quantity take-offs for aluminum and related hardware using Bluebeam Revu or similar tools.
• Develop Bills of Materials for complex projects (curtainwalls, storefronts, skylights).
• Review Division 08 specifications to ensure product systems meet requirements.
• Calculate total project costs including materials and manufacturing labor.
• Prepare and submit bid packages and quotations to glazing/general contractors.
• Collaborate with engineering and sales to offer value engineering options.
